How do Smart Node earnings work?
Smart Node owners earn SWITCH tokens based on platform activity through our Proof-of-Action protocol. Your node validates transactions and earns points. What is the launch and halving date of Switch Nodes?
Switch Nodes went live on 2/25/22, supporting and validating the decentralization of the network. This will be the annual date of the halving in the future.
Do I need to be technical to run a Smart Node?
No! We provide complete setup documentation, video tutorials, and support. Most node owners complete setup in under 1 hour. If you can follow instructions and use basic server hosting, you can run a Smart Node. We also have recommended hosting providers who can help with the technical aspects.
What is the Distributed Governance Framework (DGF)?
The DGF is an independent Swiss-based organization that manages governance for the Switch Node Network. Smart Node owners have voting rights on protocol changes, fee structures, and platform direction. The DGF ensures the community—not corporate executives—controls the platform's future.
Can I own multiple Smart Nodes?
Yes! You can own multiple Smart Nodes, and each node earns independently. Your total earnings scale with the number of nodes you operate. Point doubling benefits apply to up to 10 Smart Nodes for Black Card holders who meet monthly activity requirements.
How do I receive my SWITCH token rewards?
SWITCH tokens are automatically distributed to your Digital Rewards Wallet (a decentralized non-custodial wallet created during node setup). Distribution occurs daily based on the previous day's point accumulation. Tokens can be held as Layer 2 native tokens or bridged to Ethereum (Layer 1) as ERC-20 tokens for marketplace use.
What happens if I don't activate my node?
You must install and activate your node to earn rewards. Simply purchasing the license is not enough—the node must be online, running, and participating in the network to validate transactions and earn points. Inactive nodes don't generate income.
Why does the Smart Node price increase?
The escalating price structure rewards early adopters and encourages network growth. As more nodes are sold in each tier, the price per node increases. This creates scarcity and incentivizes early participation while ensuring fair value for those who helped build the network from the beginning.
What devices are Switch Nodes compatible with?
Switch Node is compatible with most MacOS, Windows, and Linux devices. Switch Node can also be installed and operated on a virtual private server of your choosing.

Switch Rewards are digital rewards designed to have utility on the Switch platform for the purchase of Switch's products and services. Switch Rewards is not an investment product and may never have any value outside of the Switch platform. Switch Node owners should not expect to recognize any value from Switch Rewards other than its utility on the Switch platform. Switch Reward Card does not anticipate correlation between Switch Rewards' value and Switch Reward Card's business activities.
